Transparency on how this data was collected, analyzed, and interpreted.

Data Collection Approach

This dashboard is built upon a curated dataset of 202 job postings sampled from major job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed, IrishJobs) and direct company career pages in January 2026.

The sampling strategy focused on roles explicitly titled "Data Analyst", "Data Engineer", "Data Scientist", and "Business Intelligence Analyst" located in Dublin (including Greater Dublin Area).

Sampling Criteria:

  • Location: Dublin (City & County)
  • Date Posted: Last 30 days (Jan 2026)
  • Language: English only
  • Exclusions: Senior Management/Director roles (to focus on individual contributors)

Salary TransparencyOnly ~35% of postings publicly listed salary ranges. Averages are derived from this subset and supplemented by recruitment agency guides (Morgan McKinley, Hays) to ensure accuracy.
Snapshot BiasData represents a single point in time (Jan 2026). Hiring volumes fluctuate seasonally (often higher in Q1).
Duplicate ListingsCross-posting on multiple boards was manually deduplicated where identified, but some overlap may remain.
Ethics Statement

Data was collected manually and ethically, respecting robots.txt policies and Terms of Service of all platforms.

No personal data (recruiter names, emails) was stored. Company names are used for aggregate analysis and illustrative examples only.
